This policy explains what information The Velvet Letters ("we," "us") collects when you visit thevelvetletters.com or buy our digital products, and how we use it.

What we collect

When you browse this site: our hosting provider may log standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit, to keep the site secure and working. This site has no account sign-up and no contact forms.

When you buy: checkout is handled by Gumroad. Gumroad collects your name, email address, payment details and billing location to process your order and deliver your download. We receive your name, email address and order details from Gumroad. We never see or store your full card details. Gumroad's own privacy policy (gumroad.com/privacy) covers how Gumroad handles your data.

When you email us: we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

How we use it

We use this information to deliver your purchase, provide support, prevent fraud, understand which pages and ads are working, and meet our legal obligations. We only send marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and ads

We may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure how our ads perform and to show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser information, pages viewed and actions taken, such as starting a checkout. Meta may use this information as described in its own Data Policy. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings and through your browser's cookie settings. Links from this site to Gumroad may carry campaign tags (UTM parameters) so we can tell which ads led to a sale.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business (such as Gumroad for payments and delivery, our website host and our email provider), when the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as we need it to provide support and meet tax and accounting requirements. After that, we delete it or anonymize it.
